Please view the attachments below for details on the "100 years of adventure event series" which is a new funding opportunity from BC Parks and MEC for community groups to hold a sponsored event in a park over the the next year. If interested in applying for funding, fill out the attached application form and submit it on or before February 15, 2011.
BC Parks may also be marking this mileston year with "100 Peaks - Summit Registers" for key peaks in BC Parks. Their idea is to place new or revived summit registers on peaks and include a cover page with info on BC Parks centennial, and info on the particular park including the historic first assent of the particular peak. This idea is currently at the research stage and several outdoors clubs may be contacted for their feedback on the idea.
BC Parks is also open to other ideas for ways to mark their milestone year. More info.
